Product Description
Mycoplasma (Mycoplasma) is a class of the smallest prokaryotic cell-type microorganisms without cell walls, highly pleomorphic, and able to pass through bacteria filters, with a size of 0.1-0.3 microns. More than 100 species of mycoplasma have been found so far. Due to the small diameter of mycoplasma, it can pass through the sterile filter membrane with a pore size of 0.22 micron, which makes it difficult to remove the mycoplasma contamination of cells.
The mycoplasma removal reagent developed by our company contains drugs that can inhibit mycoplasma protein synthesis and mycoplasma DNA synthesis. It only needs to be treated for 7-14 days to achieve the purpose of permanently killing and removing mycoplasma. This product has been verified on more than 20 kinds of cells (such as 293T, Cho-k1, SP2/0, Hela, LX2, ST, Vero, Jurkat, HA-VSMC, Min-6, 4T1, etc.), all of which can effectively remove Mycoplasma, and no obvious toxic side effects on cells were found.
Instructions
1. Before use, separate mycoplasma removal reagents I and II into small sizes and store them in a refrigerator at 4°C (if the remaining reagents are not used for a short time, they should be stored at -20°C to avoid the decline in efficacy). When used, it is added to the complete medium at a volume ratio of 1:100.
2. Take the T25 cell culture flask as an example, spread 500,000 to 1,000,000 cells into the T25 cell culture flask, and add 4-6 mL of fresh complete medium containing mycoplasma removal reagent.
3. Replace with fresh complete medium containing mycoplasma clearing reagent every 2-3 days. When the cells are subcultured, please centrifuge them, take an appropriate amount of cells into a new T25 cell culture flask, and add fresh complete medium containing mycoplasma removal reagents.
4. After 7-10 days of treatment, a mycoplasma detection kit can be used to detect whether the mycoplasma is completely eliminated. If there are still mycoplasma residues, you can continue to treat for 1-2 cycles before testing. It is recommended to retest mycoplasma after 1 month to ensure that there is no new mycoplasma contamination.
Preservation method
Store at -20 ℃, valid for 3 years.
Precautions
After the mycoplasma test is negative, please treat with complete medium containing mycoplasma removal reagent for 7 days. Considering the stability of the drug effect, it is not recommended to mix the high-concentration mycoplasma removal reagents I and II before storage, so as not to affect the stability of the drug effect.
