1600 A trace amount of the antibiotic tetracycline (tet) can be contained in fetal bovine serum, which is able to ensure the accurate gene expression. However, unexpected gene expression problems often come up to researchers while using sensitive tetracycline to induce and regulate expression systems. For assuring accurate gene expression, the less tetracycline in serum is the better. This product can be used in cell culture using sensitive tetracycline-induced expression system and other tetracycline-sensitive experiments. The content of tetracycline is about 0.001 μg/mL.
